Customer Responsibilities: Environment & Safe Keeping

Refrigeration equipment requires care and safekeeping.  For you to be satisfied with your product's performance, whether it was purchased from us or leased from us, we suggest the following:

1. Be mindful of airflow and ventilation

Your equipment needs to breathe so it can dissipate heat. 12”-20” of space around any equipment is a minimum.  Also, without that space a technician cannot service the equipment properly.  If you place items on top or around the equipment (like mop buckets, or boxes) it will degrade performance and cause costly repair headaches.  Also, for ice makers, only store ice in the bin.  It is not for food.

2. Surrounding Temperature

If the temperature is uncomfortable for you, it is uncomfortable for your refrigeration equipment.  Refrigeration is not designed to operate in hot or cold environments. Above 100F or below 50F and you risk damaging the equipment and having to pay for costly repairs.  No refrigeration equipment should be outside, unless specifically designed for it.  Talk to your salesperson about what is best.

3. Cleanliness

Refrigeration breathes.  Rooms that have lots of air bone things (dust, yeasts from bread or beer, or grease) will clog filters fast!  We won't even mention bugs...  All of this is your responsibility.  We can help you, so give us a call!

4. Proper Use & Safe Keeping

All equipment must be used according to the manufacturer's specifications.

This means not using equipment for anything other than its intended purpose.

Leasing from Empire Cooler equipment also means making sure the equipment is kept in a secure environment. See our terms and conditions for more details.
